Re: Tomas Repka

He was popular with some fans as they saw him as the natural replacement of Dicks, even though one could genuinely play and the other, it would soon turn out, was hapless. Seems to genuinely be a bit of a cunt though.

Him giving it to the fans at Brighton was the highlight of an otherwise instantly forgettable game of football.
He had plenty of passion, but he was a pretty shit footballer.

Norman no mates, and after that red card at his debut the fans genuinely applauded him off the pitch, Repka looked confused

Re: The Brightin incident.
There were only about 350 of us there in that poxy field, masquerading as a championship ground.
At HT (IIRC) one or two of the fans down the front started giving him some abuse, which wass ironic as he was one of the better players first half
Repka naturally didnt see it the same way and would gladly have taken on about 50 fans the mood he was in, and would have put up a good fight

Watching him and Dailly try to form a competent central defensive partnership were grim times...

Re: Tomas Repka

Maybe I'm remembering this wrongly but I'm sure while walking off the pitch against Brighton away one year he gave the crowd (ie; us) a load of abuse?
I liked him, even though he was a liability

Re: Tomas Repka

He was fucking pony and an absolute liability with his disciplinary.
The divs loved him as they saw him as another Dicksy; minus the brilliant footballing ability.

As shit as Repka and Dailly were, our squad could do with a bit of their passion and determination right now.

Every so often a club has a player who turns out to be a head banger. Repka for me is this century's first head banger. Our last one of the previous century was certainly Marco Boogers.
With hindsight I reckon, in the light of his Portsmouth debacle, that Schemmel might have run Repka close for the honour.
